Escondido Democrats to discuss health care

The April meeting of the Escondido Democratic Club will deal with health care reform. Featured speaker is Sylvia Hampton, health director of the League of Women Voters of San Diego County, who will discuss "The obstacles to universal health coverage: money and politics."

The meeting is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 9 at the Joslyn Senior Center, 210 Park Avenue in Escondido. Admission is free and open to everyone. Light refreshments will be served. Free parking is available.
