330 N. Coast Highway
Oceanside, CA 92054
The North County LGBT Coalition in Collaboration with Temecula PFLAG, is promoting for Saturday November 22 a Peaceful "CANDLELIGHT MARCH FOR EQUALITY".
The appointment is at 5:30pm Oceanside City Hall 330 N. Coast Highway, CA 92054, the march will start at 6:00pm. (bring your own candles) Invite your friends and help us build a strong coalition to reverse Prop 8.
We will march peacefully on the Pier and back to shore.
We will invite the city council, the mayor, the local grass-root organizations and churches in North County.
Proposition 8 has changed us all, has made our LGBT communities much stronger even in North County, but it has also showed us that more education and information needs to be done.
Many people are unaware of the consequences of Prop 8; they believe that Domestic Partnerships are the same as Marriage, that we are granted Equal Rights and Freedoms as everyone else.
As we ask for the Repeal of Prop 8 we are engaging the community by creating more allies under the principle of equality and justice for all, our is a message of "Unity and Inclusiveness for all."
Our Civil Rights should have never been put in the ballot.
Dinner after the March at Ruby's on the Pier
In addition, please support the North County LGBT Coalition efforts by joining us for DINNER at Ruby's Restaurant on the Pier after the March. With the flyer (see below), 20% of all food and non-alcoholic beverages sales will be donated to the North County LGBT Coalition.
It is a great opportunity to give back to our Community. Come join the fun!
Thank you and see you there!
