Fallbrook artists battle giant mining pit

Dear Friends - As you must know, Jack and I are not in favor of the largest open-pit mine in the United States being excavated about a mile or so from our home. We see no redeeming consequences for
residents in our area. There are ways we can help to curtail this horrendous project.

Jack and I are sponsoring a meeting at the Rainbow Grange on August 6th where you can meet candidates for our district who are opposed to the quarry, and you can learn about the valuable research being conducted at the "Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve" by scientists from around the world. Please become informed by attending this important meeting at 6:30 pm.
