Sham “open holiday hearing” on immigration reform

Republican leaders from the U.S. House of Representatives are holding
hearings on immigration reform in the states over the Fourth of July
holiday recess. They're calling these hearings "public," yet they're only allowing testimony from hand-picked groups such as the right-wing, vigilante Friends of the Border Patrol.

Join us on Wednesday, July 5 at 9:00 a.m. to protest the sham hearings at
the Imperial Beach Border Patrol Station in San Diego.

We will gather, along with many other local pro-immigrant groups, not only
to oppose the hearings, but also to voice our support for comprehensive
immigration reform that would allow hard-working immigrants an eventual
path to citizenship, without 'jumping the line' of applicants who have come
here legally.
