Progressive Post Presents - Media Impact Training

The Progressive Post, in conjunction with The Center for Progressive Leadership Action Network is holding a Media Impact Training in Vista. This training is focused on helping activists and organizers throughout the county hone their earned media strategies, improve their media event planning, and learn the ins and outs of pitching stories to local press.

Through an innovative combination of guest speakers, video, conference call, and facilitated small group interactives, The Progressive Post will provide participants with the tools for implementing successful earned media events, including:

* Elements of Effective Earned Media Strategies
* Researching and Prospecting Local Media Opportunities
* Writing effective letters to the editor (with award-winning writer Joe Crews)
* Planning and Implement Effective Media Events
* Pitching the Press
