Following is the information for the 16th and last Letters to the Editor Awards Night, which will be in a NEW, LARGER LOCATION. Tell your friends, better yet, bring them, meet them there. Former Editor Kent Davy and several North County Times reporters, staffers and columnists will be there to accept our thanks for producing a great local newspaper for 17 years. We call it "the paper we love to hate, and hate to love". And of course we will have our usual thought provoking, moving, and often hilarious program, with six rehearsed voice actors reading from the very best and very worst of about 6,000 letters published in 2012.

Social hour is always a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk with many North County liberals and progressives. This year we expect a contingent of wonderful new friends from Orange County (did you know I ran for Congress?), San Diego, and other places because people have heard of Letters Night over the years.

Our new venue in Oceanside holds 500+ people, so everyone who has ever wanted to attend Letters Night will have a chance this year. Please spread the word to liberal and progressive friends, if they donít know, tell them about it. Please RSVP, however, so we have enough food and so we can make name tags in advance. Please bring your friends to this "last ever" Letters Night. Great finger foods will be catered by Hill Street Cafť. Our new venue does not permit alcohol on the premises. There will be a nonalcoholic beverage bar.

Social hour at 6pm ó Program starts at 7pm. $20 person, $10 students, low income.

Please RSVP
