Gay 'Kiss-in' at La Jolla Mormon temple

A gay rights group plans to stage a mass kissing demonstration outside the San Diego Mormon temple near La Jolla as a show of support for a gay couple cited for trespassing in Utah after sharing a kiss on church property. Wednesday, July 22 at 5:00 pm. The Empowering Spirits Foundation says the "kiss-in" is intended as a peaceful rally to encourage dialogue between The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Rally to support the SEALS in La Jolla

There will be a gathering of support for the seals at Seal Beach (formerly Children's Pool) in La Jolla on Thursday morning, July 23, at 8:30 a.m. Please come to show your support for keeping the seals in their home. It is very important that the City knows that people want the seals to stay!
