Candlelight Vigil for Gay Marriage equality

On March 5 the CA Supreme Court begins oral arguments challenging Prop. 8. The day before, March 4, a candlelight vigil for gay marriage equality will kick off at the Oceanside Mission Branch Library. NOTE: This is NOT the main library downtown. This court case is of paramount and historic importance, because it will determine the future of equal marriage rights for the LGBT community, and also determine whether 36,000 people will have their marriage annulled.

CPUC Public Hearings on Power Lines & Wildfires

The next recurring peace vigil for war resister Robin Long will be March 3, Tuesday, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Robin Long is the first active duty American G.I. Iraq war resister to desert the United States military as a conscientious objector and seek asylum in Canada.
